Ulitsa 1905goda - Street named after 1905 Revolution.
This is the streel located in the centre of the city, one of the hundreds radial streets aiming to the centre, to the Kremlin (Moscow map).
This is typical example of Moscow architecture mix: wooden yellow building of the twenties-thirties of 20th century, next to it beige building of the Stalin time and modern glass-and-metal.
Sorry, but these grey backgrounds will follow all the Moscow cityscape photos till February, I'm afraid. That's our winter.
One important thing: I am new here and maybe there is something I do wrong. Please give me your advice. If you have some special interest in Moscow, please ask and I 'll try to post illustrated reply.

Mosfilmovskaya street
Mosfilmovskaya ulitsa. Mosfilm street. Goes along Mosfilm - Moscow Hollywood. The brawn building in the middle is the Swedish Embassy.
Grey is the main color of Moscow winter. The sun almost forgets about us, Moscovites, from October till February. But when the sun rarely retuns, it brings cold weather, moroz - we call it. And I do not like moroz at all! So let's keep winter grey but warm, and I promise to find the way to add color to my photos.
Now I want to say few words about the comments to my first post in this blog.
I did not realise that I have got all that kind and welcoming comments from you all, my dear new friends! You are so encouraging, thank you so much!
I was kindly appointed by Irina (yes, we have the same name!) to be group writer to this nice blog and to contribute to the huge work she was doing for almost three years. We do no know each other, so she is risking in a way, I think. Few days ago I decided to look at "Blog of Note" - Cairo/Ghisa Daily Photo, liked the idea of daily photos very much and was interested: how do things go in Moscow DP blog? So, here I am.
Irina, the founder of the blog, assures all the readers that she is here and keeps watching the blog and reading the comments!

My First Contribution
First snow in Moscow, I caught it from my balcony. I am almost sure that it will thaw completely in few days, but at a moment it is so clean outdoor.
Dear readers! It is my first post in the blog. I am a bit nervous and try to do my best. I would like Moscow to become familier and closer to you.

Sunset in Kolomenskoe
Here I am, with one of my late September photographs.
I heard it's snowing in Moscow now though from my point of staying it's so hard to believe in snow!
I will try to post more photos shortly since I finally got my home internet connection.
It's was great to get your comments! Thanks :)

Thank you!
My dear readers (or viewers ? :)),
Thank you so much for those warm words you have for me! I will miss you comments, too. In a few days I should get home Internet so I will be able to post whose photos of Moscow as I still have in the store. Then, I believe, Ashira will take up the torch.
I'm staying in Auckland so far. There are already a few Auckland Daily Photo blog so may be I will start something different. In any case, my camera is working in non-stop mode over here.
And today's photo represents the monorail as seen from Ostankino tower.
