Rainstorm

This Saturday was great weather. After a little morning rain the sun came out and established a comfortable temperature. My wife and I decided to briefly visit the food store to replenish the supply of home. But after leaving the store with underground parking, we realized that the world around us has changed. With confidence I can say I've never got into such a heavy rainstorm with hail on the road. But in the car was comfortable, relaxing music playing, so we have a lot of impressions from this trip, and even filmed a short video.

Friday Rainbow

Last friday's evening I was sitting into my office and waited for rainstorm ending. I missed the end of the rain, but when I turned my head to the right, then immediately... remembered this post by Marcel (MaCoBra) from Woerden, Netherlands. This got me thinking about the fact that despite the fact that we live in different corners of the globe, we still live on the same earth, under the same sky and in fact see the same rainbow.

Video of this rainbow:

Starting for London

>

It didn't seem possible until the last minute but now I finally believe it's true: I'm going for vacation to London. For a week my photos will be posted automatically though I hope to be able to read your comments.

Well, my first ever trip to Camelot is about to start...

Rainy night

Rainy night took place of rainy day, then another rainy day replaced rainy night... November finally looks more like itself: cold rains and rare flakes of snow fall from the sky.
Late autumn is such a sad time of the year! I would make public holidays that season long, so people could have at least one additional source of joy.

What do you do to fight the mopes?

Alexandrovsky Garden

It's rather empty in Alexandrovsky Garden when the weather is like this: day temperature in Moscow is +7C and it's been raining since Tuesday morning...

Sunday, 16 September 2007

While my umbrella dries out in the warm safety of the room, I'll answer your comments regarding my way to work and back. It's rather long daily journey but some people who live in suburbs have worse. It would be great to get paid for the time one spends on his way to work but there is no such thing in Russia yet. If you don't like your commute you have a choice: change either job or home so get them closer to each other. In my case I like my work too much to leave it and I don't have an opportunity to get another home, so I have to deal with my 2-hours long trips. In fact, I do read a lot (provided I was lucky enough to have a seat). The worst part about these journeys is that I have to wait for a bus, sometimes up to 40 minuts, and the weather is not always fine. That is why I've got a considerable stockpile of warm clothes. It may sound terrible to you but I'm kind of used to those things.

As a reminder of better days, there are new posts on my Cyprus photos site.

Rain on tiles

While many of you suffer of severe draught, we still have a lot of rains over here. And I can't say I enjoy it any more, so I would rather share this water with someone who needs it. Hey, does anybody care for some rain? Come over and help yourself! As for me, I'm developing a plan of escape from this flooding land.

P.S. Another version on my extension site.
