Snegurochka
Snegurochka (sneg means snow), the granddaughter of Ded Moroz (Grandpa Frost), Russian Santa, is the important ingredient of Russian New Year celebrations.
They (Ded Moroz and Snegurocka) usually arrive together and the girl is the remarkable part of the show.
There is no info who and where the parents of the girl are and how she manages during the year. I also do not know if she is schoolgirl or student. A lot of questions, actually.
Now I know that there are two granddaughters and post the proof. I saw the girls near hotel "Moscow", they were inviting the passersby to join the fun of outdoor winter games competition (the banner with "Russian winter" logo is behind the girls), ride the park amusement, decorated in old Russian style and try some lollipops (the rooster is fake).
Google map.
