This is the main hall of the Park Kultury metro station. I love all of the details, but the ceiling is definitely my favorite. Click to make it larger! The station appears to be in good shape, so I'm really not sure why they're closing it for so long. The escalators need to be replaced, and of course they'll be doing some cosmetic repairs, but surely that doesn't take 8 months?! There are still other ways to get around - you just have to transfer at a different station, adding about 10 extra minutes of travel time. All in all, it's not too bad - but I'm still going to complain because I don't always have an extra 10 minutes! :-)
