... just in our dreams.
And may be on our windowsills:

It's Time To Walk

Well at least someone does not want to go down this road?

Theme Day: Contrast

First turning leaves provide perfect opportunity for October's Theme Day which is to present CONTRAST. Well, I thought of showing social or architectural contrast for a while but then chose colours.

Autumn piles

Fallen leaves that cover streets are being piled into colourful heaps and left for better time. In a few days those piles will be gathered together and burned or taken away in plastic bags. It's a pity, I like to look at them...

Goodbye, summer!

Let's face the fact: the summer is over. I'm back from my vacation in South Russia just on time to catch last warmth of fading sunlight. Trees began to turn, and days are surprisingly short. Well, autumn can be beautiful in its way, too.

Gone with the wind

Well, not really. I thought of escaping the forthcoming autumn as long as possible so I'm going for vacation down South. I mean to get one week delay in dealing with cold and rains so wish me luck!

P.S. The posting will be continued automatically.

Clear sign of autumn

Although August is not quite over yet, leaves are turning yellow. Added cold and rainy weather, you get full illusion of autumn being already here...

Getting back to work, it's so hard to find a minute for daily pleasures! Nevertheless, I try to manage taking springly pictures and sharing them with you.

By the way, I published the first portion of my Israel trip on my travel site.

The winter is still here: temperature is below -10C, it's windy sometimes and snowing. I mostly stay home, having hot tea and watching TV - they show great many of my favourite movies on holidays. I hope you're having nice time, too.

The nature slowly falls into winter sleep: days get short, trees turn bare, weather promise warmth no more. Rain is a constant guest in the city, so I rarely go out and prefer staying home with a book and a cup of hot tea.
Autumn is a beautiful season but the bad thing is that it's too short and, even worse, always succeeded by half-year long winter...

When trees start 'undressing', people over here like to gather colourful leaves and make bouquets or wreathe crowns. So you can see results of such art nearly everywhere as you walk along the park: on a tree, in a pond, on a bench...

While weather allows, I'll gift you with more autumn colours.

P.S. No Photoshop used! :)

A little more colours

When I walk to my work in the morning, I often see tourists exploring Alexandrovky Garden and its neighbourhood. Shivering, they stand up to chilly wind and nasty rain, still trying to listen to their guide () and enjoy sights. I always pity them: how could they know that September, August and even July could be so cold in Moscow?! Well, we didn't know that either :) And current imitation of Indian summer is going to be very short, I'm afraid. But, at least, I can show you a few more colourful photos.

First leaves

Last winter was mild but long, and the spring is late but fast. Yesterday I saw first leaves coming out and couldn't miss it! But in a few days trees abd bushes became 'pre-green' and new grass can be seen everywhere. We had +18C yesterday, and it's quite unusual for Moscow April but I love it.
