Church of Holy Virgin Theotokos Sign

This is a small church in Romanov lane, one of the old and narrow streets of Moscow center. The chucrh is surronded by numerous buildings so it's hidden from most passers by. Moreover, it was fenced about on account of reconstruction works, so even if you lay aboard you will not get a full view. A bunch of beautiful towers is the only available scene.

The church was built in 1680s and replaced an old wooden cathderal. In 1929 it was closed and turned into storage facilities. In late 1990s it was supposed to be restored as a temple but, as far as I know, previous owners still haven't vacated the building.
