Wailing Wall

Moscow wailing wall (a tiny copy of the Wall in Jerusalem, Israel) is located at Bolshoy Spasoglinishevsky pereulok, in front of the building of the Moscow Synagogue (opened in 1870).

This monument (15m along and 3m high) was constructed in 2001, when the restoration of the Synagogue was finished and meant the link with Jerusalem.

When I was making the detailed photos, the Hasidic boys appeared, alarmed by my activity. But smile makes wonders and they started smiling back.

Do you know about great CityDailyPhoto blog from Jerusalem? Dina always combines interesting story and wonderful illustrations from the city of great history.
