These are the base structures for the typical 'onion domes' of Russian churches. They're quite big - slightly taller than I am (170cm/ 5'7")! I don't know if they're new or old, it's hard to tell because the church they're sitting next to isn't in the best condition. I would guess that these were removed from the church quite a while ago, since they're uncovered. Pictures of the church on Thursday - it's quite a gem!
