The Church of the Annunciation of Our Lady in Petrovsky Park

The churches in Moscow always have there own plan about walkers. You just walk, expecting nothing and suddenly, behind the corner, voila! it pops up in full glory with golden domes and breathtaking achitecture. How many churches are in Moscow? Hard to say. But beware, they are waiting to amuse and impress you!

This is  the church of the Annunciation of Our Lady in Petrovsky park. Constructed in  the middle of 19th century; closed, ransacked and turned into warehouse in the middle of 1930-es; returned to the owner in 1991; restored by 1997.

I drove near that street about 50 times, only today I saw this beauty for the first time...
