The detail of the house in Art Nouveau style. The building was constructed in 1900-1902 by Fedor Schekhtel for the merchant Riabushinsky. I want to show you the outside view of this architectural beauty. Tomorrow we shall go inside.
It is located at Spiridonovka, 2 (google_map here). If you are in Moscow, please visit. You will enjoy for sure. The entrance is free, but you have to pay for the photographing 100 roubles (3USD) and you will be handed a badge as if you are a real photo-journalist...
As you know there are two contributors to this blog. Ashira, American girl, working in Moscow and me, Irina, native Muscovite. We decided to post one after another. So you get the picture from two different angles, makes it look intriguing...
These days Ashira is in the camp outside Moscow, so let's expect interesting photos next week .
Meanwhile I plan to show you more of Schekhtel's house at Spiridonovka.
