Happy Birthday Moscow!

This weekend Moscow celebrated her 863rd birthday! The red signs with birthday cakes on them say 'Happy Birthday Moscow'. The whole city was spotted with concerts and performances on Saturday, and all of the big parks had events today too. My favorite part of the celebration is that a few of the main streets are made into pedestrian only streets on Saturday! This picture is taken on Tverskaya Street, a major street that comes to an end directly in front of Red Square. It's really fun to be able to walk down the middle of what's normally a very busy road! I'll post a picture taken from there on Tuesday.
