Life Giving Church

The Life Giving Trinity Church and a wall surrounding the St. Vladimir Children's Hospital grounds.

Beautiful details on the wall which surrounds the entire hospital. Most of it is mixed in style, as if they didn't have any more of the original brick, and just chose to replace it with standard bricks as time went on. As for the church, I think is name is absolutely perfect, seeing as it's located inside of a children's hospital center. The hospital was founded in 1872, and the church was constructed from 1881-1883. It survived Soviet times by being denounced as a place of religious worship, rather than being demolished like so many others. It was re-consecrated on April 15, 1994.
